On the 6th March 2017, the Ambassador Li Li attended 3D printing training launching ceremony at the Prime Minister's Office, and on behalf of China embassy donated 3D printing equipment from China. The Minister of communications Sawmynaden, the vice president Zhao Donglai of the Hangzhou Shining 3D Company and other guests amounting to nearly 40 people attended the event.
Prime Minister Pravind said that there is a long term friendship between China and Mauritius and that the Chinese government has given selfless help and support to Mauritius for many years. Whether it is the new airport terminal, the Bagatelle dam, or the promotion of the comprehensive sports center project, all reflect China's friendship with Mauritius. The Prime Minister is thankful for the cooperation in the 3D printing and other fields, and said that the equipment will be used by The Ministry of communication, the educational institutions and business services. Moreover, he believes that this will bring new opportunities for the upgrading of technological and industrial innovation, and looks forward to the mutually beneficial cooperation with China in the high-tech fields.
The Ambassador Li Li said that in recent years, China and Mauritius continue to deepen the bilateral friendly cooperation in the field of finance, tourism, aviation and other aspects, which achieved fruitful results. China is currently implementing the innovation of using 3D printing high technology to promote the development of advanced manufacturing. The Ambassador also said that China is willing to share this experience with Mauritius, hope that this small window of opportunity will open a new field of cooperation and inject new vitality into the friendly relations between the two countries.
