1. Canton Fair (China Export
Commodities
Fair)Brief
Introduction of Canton
Fair
Chinese
Export Commodities Fair, also called Canton Fair, is held
twice a year in spring and autumn since its inauguration in
the spring of 1957. It is China's largest trade fair of the
highest level, of the most complete varieties and of the
largest attendance and business turnover. Preserving its
traditions, the Fair is a comprehensive and multi-functional
event of international importance.
To
keep up with the pace of economic development after
China’s accession to WTO and with the latest trend of
international exhibition development, the Canton Fair took a
reform based on its own operative condition by holding
Spring Fair 2002 in two phases. It was proved successful as
the number of visitors increased greatly to 120,576 and
trade value to USD 16.85 billion. Both ascended the
historical high of the Canton
Fair.
